Breakfast at Hollywood Studios Hollywood and Vine Play ‘n Dine

By Dopey Diva

If you have a toddler, or any child who is a fan of Disney Jr. characters, Hollywood and Vine Play ‘n Dine is a MUST meal for you! They offer a character meal for breakfast and lunch only so make sure you choose an appropriate time for the ultimate experience. All three meal times are buffet style.

I highly recommend making an advanced dining reservation or your wait time may be considerable, or impossible depending on the time of year.

We chose the breakfast character meal. The only available time  was 10:30 am, which is a late breakfast for us, but luckily they began bringing the lunch buffet out before we finished breakfast and I got to try some of the yummy lunch desserts.

We were seated quickly upon  arrival and our waitress was wonderful and extremely attentive to our needs. Even though it is a  buffet she made sure everyone had beverages and napkins and always asked if there was anything else we needed. The buffet was clean and food was replenished as needed.
The breakfast buffet is served from 8:00 am-11:20 am and the price ranges from $26.62-$30.88 for adults and $14.90-$17.03 for children ages 3-9. The breakfast buffet consists of traditional breafast foods such as scrambled eggs, bacon,  sausage, potatoes, gravy and biscuits as well as breakfast breads, pastries, fresh fruit, assorted yogurts, and my personal favorite Mickey Mouse waffles!

The characters who made an appearance at our meal were Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso, Jake from Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and June from The Little Einsteins. Each character came to our table at least 2 times. We were able to get several pictures with each of them and they also signed our autograph book. My 2 year old absolutely loved having breakfast with them. I think my 13 year old did too even if he won’t admit it.

Several different times during the meal the characters and a castmember would come to the middle of the restaurant for a dance show and all children were welcome to join them. Although my 2 year old was not interested in joining in several other children had a great time dancing with their favorite characters.

This was one of my favorite places to eat on this trip to Disney World. Good food, good service, and a lot of fun for everyone in our group! We loved it!
