Disney never takes a day off! Both Disneyland & Disney World are open 365 days a year. The magic always happens when you are with a loved one, family, kids, and / or all. But there is that one time of year I feel it is more magical because Disney packs the magic, decorations, smiles, goose bumps, and tears of holiday joy into all four parks.  Christmas is in my opinion the most magical time at Disney World, The reason why for me is Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, and of course the Magic Kingdom all are decorated with Christmas decorations.  Some parks more than others, but they all have some sort of holiday cheer. The giant themed Christmas trees on display, the lights, giant decorations, character meet n greets, music, holiday cheer, parades, holiday desserts and candy.

Mickey and Minnie bring out the kids in all of us. Goofy, Pluto, and Donald Duck goof around, and we can’t forget about Chip n’ Dale- those two crazy, fun loving chipmunks.  The joy they bring when they are around is exciting!  Another bonus is some characters make appearances for the meets only during this time of year. Beast is one of them! Characters also will wear special costumes for this time of the year as well.  This is one of the reasons why I believe in having a autograph book in your possession for yourself and / or the kiddo(s) to get while capturing those magical memories with your camera and / or photo pass. With photo pass you can custom seasonal picture overlays to customize those magical shots, and some smart phones they have an app to do this.

The Magic Kingdom makes Main Street snow at night and Santa Claus can be found in the parks checking on the guests making sure they are being nice not naughty!  For an extra ticket charge you can attend the Magic Kingdom’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. It well worth the extra purchase because from 7 pm to Midnight the park is only open to guests that have purchased the Christmas party ticket.

Epcot has a special concert, The Candlelight Processional at the American Gardens Theater. There is a separate charge for this as well, but worth it. There is also Mickey’s Jingle Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom, in room celebrations, holiday dinning at the Disney Resort restaurants, and Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios.

Hollywood Studios Osborne’s Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights
When venturing to the to Disney World this time of the year the weather is nice and warmer traditionally, but Jack Frost sometimes casts a cold spell. So don’t be surprised to have to wear jeans, a sweatshirt, jacket, winter hat and gloves.  Two years in a row my family and I experienced this.
December 2010 caught Goofy coming out for a quick meet n greet. It was cold!!
Put on your list of things to do: book a Disney vacation during this magical time of year. Happy Holidays, Disney Style!
