2016 Walt Disney World Discounts Come out Monday September 28th!

Walt Disney World released 2016 Room Only and Play, Stay & Dine package discounts to Disney Visa cardholders a few days ago and those will go public to non-card holders on Monday the 28th.  Here’s what you can expect, and what you need to know:

Savings are offered for stays most nights January 2nd – April 13th, 2016.  Unlike previous offers, your entire stay needs to be within those dates.  You can no longer check in on the last day and get the benefit of the discount for the rest of your stay like they used to allow you to do.

The excluded resorts and room types are:  Little Mermaid rooms at Art of Animation, all 3-bedroom deluxe villas, all campsites, and the bungalows at Disney’s Polynesian VIllas & Bungalows.

Discount amounts vary by resort, date and room type, and as always, Disney warns us that the number of rooms available are limited. As a travel agent who has been working to apply these discounts to existing reservations for Disney Visa cardholders over the last few days, I can tell you that this is true – I got lucky for some clients, and came up empty for others.

While some resorts that have been excluded entirely in recent offers (All Star Movies, Port Orleans French Quarter) are included, they’ve got them at a lower discount than other resorts in the same category:
