Volcano Bay Water Park opening at Universal Orlando on May 25, 2017!

With everything else to do in Orlando, why should I visit Volcano Bay?

Universal’s Volcano Bay is made up of four immersive areas with attractions for every member of your family. Created around the fictional Waturi tribe, their legends and travels, Volcano Bay combines the cultures of various Polynesian flavors.

what is the Volcano name at Universal Studios? Is there a volcano at Universal Studios? What is the new water park at Universal Studios?

Krakatau Volcano and family thrills await in Volcano Bay.

  1. Krakatau Village is the immersive centerpiece of this theme park.  It features Krakatau Volcano which streams water during the day and bright “lava” during the evening.  This area also features an aqua coaster, body plunge, body slides and mat racers.  For those needing a break or waiting for their cue in line (see TapuTapu below) head over to the wave pool, one of the leisure pools or just relax on a beautiful sand beach.
  2. Wave Village, the more leisurely area of Volcano Bay, is the place to go when waiting for your turn on the next water slide (see TapuTapu below).  It is also a great leisure spot for those wanting a break from the action.  Guests can find a wave pool, leisure pool and beautiful sand beaches in this area.
  3. River Village is the place to be for the youngest of swimmers. Family slides offer just the right amount of excitement while Tot Tiki Reef offers child size versions of the larger volcano and water slides. Runnamuka Reef, an amazing new water splash and play area where your children can be free to play without the worry of deep water.  And of course the area is finished off by Kipiko Wai Winding River-an immersive lazy river sure to keep everyone relaxed and entertained.
  4. Rainforest Village offers a bit more adventure!  Twisting tube slides, six person raft rides, and whitewater raft rides will test the courage of those daring enough to visit this Village.  For more adventure take a turn on the Ohyah & Ohno Drop slides- a dual slide experience.  Ohyah (oh yeah!) will have you cliff climbing to the top of the crest, twisting down the slide and plunging four feet into the waiting waters. Exit the pool, cross the rope bridge and hold your breath before plunging down the Ohno (Oh no!) slide-twist, turns and a six foot plunge await anyone that dares take on this challenge!
