Breakfast at Disneyland Hotel Steakhouse 55

There are so many breakfast choices at the Disneyland Resort that it can be hard to decide where to dine! One of our favorites when we are looking for a delicious meal is Steakhouse 55 at the Disneyland Hotel. This signature restaurant is well-known for dinner, and continues with the same charm and service during breakfast hours.

Steakhouse 55 is located in the Disneyland Hotel near the Exhibit Hall and next to Goofy’s Kitchen. Be sure to check out the Autopia Car prior to dining and enjoy a photo opportunity not available elsewhere. There is also a penny press with Disneyland Hotel options right next to the entrance. The restrooms are located here as well, and have the retro poster wallpaper that I love.

The check-in podium is in the bar and lounge area. From here, your host will bring you into the main dining room where you will immediately feel the retro theme of this restaurant. Mahogany wood accents, high-backed booth tables, and large photographic images of Hollywood stars, like Clark Gable and Cary Grant, greet you as you are led to your table. There is a selection of both tables and booths, so be sure to request which seating arrangement you prefer.

We’ve eaten several items off the menu and enjoyed each one! My children love the whole grain Mickey Mouse pancakes with fruit! What says, “You are at Disney” more than a Mickey Mouse pancake! My son always orders one with chocolate chips, while my daughter goes for the plain.

At our most recent visit, I had the Stuffed Brioche French Toast and it was divine! It is rich, creamy, and very filling.

I wasn’t able to finish it off along with my side of Applewood-smoked bacon. A local friend joined us, and she raved about the Pork Belly Chilaquiles as the perfect choice for a hearty breakfast. My husband’s go-to meal is the Create-Your-Own-Omelet, and on this trip he selected bacon, cheese and mushroom. Of course, being a steakhouse, a 7-oz New York Steak and Eggs is on the menu.

Our server provided excellent service, the food arrived quickly and was hot, and our drinks were always full. I am pretty sure I had at least three cups of coffee during my meal. Speaking of drinks, Steakhouse 55’s full bar is open during breakfast and has five signature breakfast cocktails, such as the Blood Orange Mimosas and the Steakhouse 55 Ultimate Bloody Mary.

I have always found Steakhouse 55 (named of course for the year Disneyland opened!) to have high-quality food with an uncrowded and relaxed atmosphere. It is the perfect option for those looking for delicious food outside of the Character breakfasts. The price is slightly less than what it would cost for a Character breakfast depending on what you chose to eat, and it is perfect for a morning splurge or a great way to end your vacation. Advanced dining reservations are available, and if you are an Annual Passholder, be sure to use your discount!

Hello! I'm Tinker Belle Diva. Just like you, I love all things Disney and have since my first trip to the Walt Disney World in 1980, followed quickly by my first trip to Disneyland. The love of Disney runs strong in my family and has been passed along to my daughter and son, who have been to Disneyland more times than I can count!
