For the past three years Disney Springs has delighted guests with their Christmas Tree Trail. Located in the far North East of Disney Springs Christmas carols ring out and snow falls around 27 themed Christmas trees. This year five new themed trees were added along the trail: Haunted Mansion, Star Wars, Toy Story, Walt Disney World Theme Parks, and Mickey and Minnie.
The Christmas Tree Trail is free for all to walk through. So is parking, so there isn’t any cost at all to just go look! The Lime Garage is the closest Parking Garage to the Christmas Tree Trail. The Christmas Tree trail is open from November 8, 2018 to January 6, 2019. It can get busy, so give yourself plenty of time to walk through the trees and see everything. I highly recommend walking through in the daylight and again at dark. You can really see all the details in each tree during the day. While you may miss some details once it gets dark, its magical the way they all sparkle in the snow.
Each tree is packed full of ornaments, lights, greenery, and an iconic tree topper. There are special ornaments featured on each tree. These ornaments are inside a lantern and hung in various places around the trees. Each of these ornaments are available at Days of Christmas located near the exit of the Christmas Tree Trail.
Another favorite in the Christmas Tree Trail is Santa! He meets with guests throughout the season in a rustic-looking cabin. In order to see Santa you need to check in and get your name on the list. The wait can be several hours long, so I suggest checking in before you do any shopping or dining. PhotoPass Photographers are there to take pictures and are included in Memory Maker.
There are movie poster-like signs decorating the fencing throughout the trail. Be sure to read them carefully, as many of them are a play on words with Disney movies. They advertise food, destinations, or services in a clever ways. Along with the signs there are two decorative walls. One says “Your Holiday Adventure Begins!” the other is a blue tarp with giant snowflakes.
The 2018 Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail should definitely be on your list of things to see. Between the beautiful trees, falling snow, and Santa himself, it will sure to be an outing to remember!
