Beaches and Cream Soda Shop, located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, is most likely best known for it’s “Kitchen Sink” dessert, but has so much more to offer. It is a casual, nostalgic old-fashioned soda shop that offers some of the best grilled American favorites. The soda fountain offers flavored sodas and malted milk shakes that most of us remember fondly from our youth.

I have never been able to find the right time to visit Beaches and Cream – sometimes it is full of guests and other times it is surprisingly empty. One thing that is consistent is good food and great desserts.

The menu (current as of December, 2012) is a variety of burgers, sandwiches, fries, soups and salads. They offer a nice choice for adults but I find their child’s menu to be limited. I do think that most visitors go for the desserts and the dessert menu can leave you with some difficult choices since it is the largest menu they offer. The prices are not too high by Disney standards, they do accept the Disney Dining Plan, however, they do not accept reservations.

Everyone you talk to seems to have a favorite meal and a favorite dessert when they visit Beaches and Cream. My personal favorite dessert is the Milky Way Sundae for $8.99 and can easily be shared by 2 people. Nothing on the menu is skimpy. I have heard from a friend that the Grilled Banana Bread with Peanut Butter and vanilla ice cream is something everyone should try at least once and I plan to give it a try on my next trip.

Beaches and Creams is definitely one of my all-time favorites for casual dining. They also offer a nice to-go menu for ice cream and soft drinks so that you can enjoy an ice-cream cone sitting outside over-looking Stormalong Bay.
