Capture Your Moment A Private Photoshoot at Walt Disney World ResortWalt Disney World Resort is a popular destination to celebrate life’s most cherished moments.  If you want to remember those moments with magical photographs, Capture Your Moment is the perfect solution! We booked this Enchanting Extra for a day at Magic Kingdom and were very happy with our experience.

Essentially, Capture Your Moment allows you to book a Disney PhotoPass photographer for a private mini photoshoot.  Whether you want birthday, graduation, engagement, anniversary, or just fabulous family photos, this service is wonderful way to capture precious memories.

We booked our session online 60 days prior to our resort check-in. You can choose Capture Your Moment sessions for Magic Kingdom,  EPCOT,  Hollywood Studios,  or Animal Kingdom. Sessions are limited to 8 people, cost $79, and last approximately 20 minutes. You can book back-to-back sessions if you feel you need more time, but we found 20 minutes to be ample time to get family and individual photos at 3 different locations along Main Street, U.S.A. and by Cinderella Castle.

Diva Tip: Be sure to have a valid park ticket and park reservation for the day of your photo session. You will also want to purchase Memory Maker so you can download your photos.  The fee for the session does NOT include the purchase of the photos, but they will be available to download at no extra cost if you have Memory Maker.

Capture Your Moment A Private Photoshoot at Walt Disney World ResortOnce you book Capture Your Moment, you’ll receive a confirmation email with details about where to check-in. At Magic Kingdom, we met our photographer inside Town Square Theater about 10 minutes before our session.

Our photographer asked us what we’d like to accomplish with our photos. I explained I’d like some photos with the family, some of just the grandkids, and some individuals of each grandchild.  I wanted some family photos in a setting that wouldn’t necessarily be recognized as Disney, and some, naturally, by the castle and on Main Street, U.S.A.  Our photographer was extremely accommodating and encouraged me to make suggestions about locations, poses, etc.  If I didn’t have any ideas, she was ready to offer her professional advice.

I had noticed a garden area right outside Town Square Theater, so I asked if we could begin there.  It was a nice place for our non-Disney photos.  Then we walked together down Main Street, U.S.A. Our photographer wanted to use the side street alcove area next to Starbucks, but there was some construction going on there, so we had to keep moving on to the hub area.

Capture Your Moment A Private Photoshoot at Walt Disney World ResortAt the hub we were able to take some nice group shots of the grandkids, as well as some individual photos of each child.  The sun was posing difficulties for the kids though, so we moved on to Cinderella Castle.

We had more group and individual shots at the castle, and our photographer even was able to capture a few candid shots of my grandson and husband.  While my granddaughters were extremely willing to pose, my grandson was a little less willing to show his true personality.  I was especially happy the photographer worked to capture those candid photos. Before we finished, our photographer asked if there were any other shots we wanted.  We were satisified we had accomplished our mission, so she scanned my Magic Band and within an hour I had 73 photos to view!

We didn’t bring any special props for our photos, but if you have certain items you’d like to include in your session, it may be possible.  I saw graduates with their caps and several birthday celebrations with chalkboard signs.  It’s important to note, though, that all attire and props must comply with Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules.  Wedding attire is specifically prohibited.

We had such fun with our photo session.  I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in some special photos.  I’ve rarely been disappointed in Disney’s PhotoPass photographers, and to have the undivided attention of someone who knows all the best locations and poses to capture the excitement of your trip is well worth the price of this session. Just remember to smile!
