A while back, I gave you my Top 3 Favorite Quick Service Dining options at Disneyland. If I could add one more, it would be the French Market Restaurant in New Orleans Square. The French Market is a quick-service restaurant, which means you pick up your food and seat yourself. Similar to the Plaza Inn and Rancho del Zocalo, you enter the restaurant, grab a tray and circle the food area to either special order a meal or pick one that is ready to go. Here is my review of the French Market Restaurant in Disneyland.

Royal Street Chicken Caesar Salad

The French Market serving area is indoors, and then you’ll step outside to eat at one of the many dining tables available in the open area. The area is covered with screens to help shade it. At the far end is a stage, and during lunch hours, you will often find a jazz band playing here. At other times, jazz music is piped in. You will be right next to the New Orleans Square train station, so you will also hear the whistle and choo-choo. At the end closest to the train station is the Mint Julep Bar. You can read Disney Magic Diva’s review here or read my article about this being one of a few places at Disneyland where you can buy beignets.

French dip sandwich with house-made Cajun chips

On our most recent trip, we had three meals and enjoyed them all. First was the Royal Street Chicken Caesar Salad. This salad has Cajun chicken on top of a traditional Caesar salad and was tossed to order in front of us, giving you the opportunity to customize the salad. It also came with a jalapeño corn bread muffin, that was soft and delicious.

Kids pasta with marinara

If you love a good sandwich, be sure to try the French Dip. This yummy sandwich is paired with house-made Cajun chips, which were crunchy and not too spicy. For children, there are several choices – pasta with marinara sauce, chicken breast with rice or macaroni and cheese.

Mobile ordering is not available at the French Market, but we usually don’t find the line too long. There can be a rush for tables at the peak of lunch, but we usually find a place without too much difficultly. Be sure to include this on your list of places to try during your visit to Disneyland!
