There is a special kind of magic that brews at Disneyland from the middle of September until the end of October. The park is taken over by pumpkins, Halloween overlays on rides, special shows and of course, characters dressed up in Halloween costumes! This is a picture sampling of what Halloween Time at Disneyland has to offer. All pictures courtesy of D’land Diva Hubby.

As guests enter Disneyland, they are greeted with a fully decorated Main Street, U.S.A.

Over at Big Thunder Ranch, there is a Halloween Round Up. Here you will find Halloween dressed characters, a Villains Tent for picture taking, carnival games, crafts for the kids, and Halloween themed performances by Billy Hill and the Hillbillies. There are also pumpkin carvers with special talents, snacks and carts where you can purchase Halloween themed merchandise.

Meanwhile, over in New Orleans Square, Haunted Mansion has received it’s Haunted Mansion Holiday makeover with at Nightmare Before Christmas theme and Jack and Sally are available for picture taking.

In Tomorrowland, Space Mountain has been transformed into Ghost Galaxy.

In Frontierland, there is a Halloween tree and a celebration of  Dia de Los Muertos, which takes place on November 1 and is celebrated in the Mexican culture, as well as other cultures around Halloween time.

And…in true Disney fun, there is a great selection of Halloween foods and merchandise.

Happy Halloween everyone! – D’land Diva

As a Disneyland Annual Passholder for over fifteen years, it is clear that I love to be in the parks! I am a huge fan of all things Disney, but mostly the Muppets and Flynn Rider. On many weekends you can find me sipping a Mint Julep in New Orleans Square at Disneyland with my Disney loving husband and my two Disney loving children plotting which ride to go on next. I am Editor and Co-Director of the Tips from the Disney Diva site.
