I was recently given the opportunity to review a tee-shirt created by Happy Zae Studio out of Orange, California. The owner, Ashley Angel, is a very creative artist and her shop tends to focus on the Disney theme. I love Disney shirts, so I was thrilled to be able to wear and review one of her adult shirts on my recent trip to Walt Disney World.
Happy Zae Studio has some really cute items on etsy, you can find the shop here. You can find adult as well as toddler tees on her etsy.com shop, and she has recently started making Disney theme pin back buttons as well, created from book pages. The buttons are very cute and feature a variety of Disney characters. They can be worn on your shirts, jackets or, you can do as I did and pin them to your park bag to make it a little more festive! Running from $7.20 – $9.00 for a pack of five buttons, I think these are a reasonably priced and cute addition to your Disney parks gear, or even your every day life accessories.
The shirt I wore and will be reviewing was a short sleeve v-neck white tee with the logo #DISNEYMOM emblazoned across the front. I’m always a little nervous about ordering clothes online, some don’t fit true to size, or the material may be coarse and rough when wearing. I’ve ordered some custom shirts that disappointed me when I received them as they were printed on cheaper tees that fit horribly, so I was pleasantly surprised when I received my tee from Happy Zae Studio. In addition to the tee being exactly what was advertised, which is ALWAYS a good thing, I was impressed with the care of the packaging. It was carefully wrapped in tissue to protect the white from being stained by packaging dirt, keeping the shirt neat and clean during shipping. You can purchase this #DisneyMom shirt here.
The adult tees run $20, or you can get a tank for only $15.00, which is a bargain if you check the prices of women’s shirts inside Disney park stores. The material was very soft and comfortable, and even better, the shirt fit to a tee (yeah, corny, I know). The Happy Zae Studio etsy site mentions that the shirt can run a little small for most, so it is suggested that you size up one for a good fit. I found the size I wore to be a great fit for me. The material was thin, which is GREAT for the central Florida heat and humidity. I went to Walt Disney World in February, expecting temperature in the 70’s, but was treated instead to temperatures in the mid to high 80’s without a single drop of rain all week, so the coolness the shirt was definitely a bonus. Made of 100% combed and ringspun cotton, I loved the feel of the shirt.
I took the time to browse through the toddler shirts on Happy Zae Studio etsy site, and I thought the shirts were absolutely adorable. I don’t have toddlers at my home, but if I did, I would definitely order from Happy Zae Studio. Ashley hand presses all of the shirts in her studio and they are made to order. The sizing of the shirts are based on US women’s and kids sizes, so please keep that in mind when ordering, as sizing does run differently for different countries. It is also suggested that the shirts be washed inside out in cold water and hung up to dry rather than machine drying. I think the washing and drying instructions are pretty typical of any shirt with graphics that you want to preserve for longer wear.
Though I am reviewing a tee, I do want to mention that Happy Zae Studio also has some gorgeous hand-painted abstract artwork that I suggest you check out. I loved Ashley’s paintings, I find her to be very talented. I also love that she notes on her site that any money she earns from her paintings goes straight into more supplies and into a school fund for her adorable daughter.
As you can tell, I was a huge fan my #DISNEYMOM shirt and will definitely be wearing it again, and again…and again. I am also a huge fan of Ashley Angel’s artwork and have been a faithful follower of her on Instagram for quite a while. You can follow her studio on Instagram, twitter, Pinterest or Facebook by clicking on the links I’ve attached to the social media names. If you are anything like me and love graphic tees, Disney theme tees or buttons, or are looking for something just right for your toddler, check out Happy Zae Studios on etsy and see what they have to offer you!
