Many members of the Military are aware of Disney’s Armed Forces Salute.  But are you aware of the Military discounts offered outside of Disney?   Well, I have great news for you!  Many of the other attractions in the Orlando area (and beyond!) offer huge discounts to our Military. For 2017  Universal Orlando, Legoland and Busch Gardens are all offering generous Military promotions.

To begin this series, let’s take a look at Universal Orlando’s military promotion.

While Universal Orlando has offered a deep military discount for several years, this year’s offering has something new!  Recently Universal announced the opening their brand new park. Volcano Bay Water Park will be opening on May 25, 2017!

Lucky for us, Universal’s 2017 Military Promotion reflects this new addition.

Universal Orlando’s 2017 Military Ticket Only Options

  • 2 Park, 3 Day Park-to-Park tickets Three days of unlimited visits to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of Adventure and City Walk.  (Think Disney’s Park Hopper.) Three day ticket expires 7 days after first use.
  • 3 Park, 3 Day Park to Park tickets Starting June 1, 2017 Military guests can use this option for three days of unlimited visits to Universal Studios Florida, Universal’s Islands of AdventureUniversal’s Volcano Bay and City Walk! Three day ticket expires 7 days after first use.

  • 3 Park, 3 Day Park-to Park Tickets     $219.99 Adult/$213.99 Child

And now the fine print!!

  1. Purchase vouchers from your local MWR/ITT office or through the Shades of Green on Walt Disney World ticketing office.
  2. Eligibility-Active & Retired U.S. Military, Coast Guard, Reservists, members of the National Guard, employees of the Department of Defense with valid military ID and spouses with valid/active ID.
  3. Prior to first use, vouchers must be activated at a Universal Pass Sale Window.
  4. Total of (6) tickets may be purchased, but do not have to be purchased in one transaction. (Example, a family of 3 can purchase 3 tickets in two separate transactions.)
  5. Active Military Member (or spouse) must use one ticket.  Remaining tickets may be used by family members or friends.
  6. Military Member (or Spouse with valid ID) must be present to activate tickets.
  7. Guests may not sell any Military Promotion Tickets!

Finally, guests must use activated tickets within 7 days of first use. All tickets expire December 20, 2017- unused days will be forfeited without refund. However, there is good news also-NO BLACKOUT DAYS FOR 2017!!
