Port Orleans Riverside Review

Author : Kid @ Heart Disney Devo Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort is a moderate resort and one of the most popular resorts to enjoy at Disney World. The resort itself is VERY large and spread out. It can hold quite a lot of people so its usually not that difficult to get a room here. Grounds, Entertainment, and Pools Designed after the New Orleans plantation houses and bayou lodges that sit on large acreage, with beautiful gardens , multi-pool locations, and Fulton’s General Store. Riversides “twin” resort, Port Orleans offers everything from A-Z and is just next door. You can catch a bus or the boat or even walk over there. You can enjoy their Arcade, the Riverside Mill food court (for quick service meals), Boatwright’s restaurant (for table service).  You should also try the  River Roost Lounge for spirits, wings, pizza, and music fun, offered every Wednesday thru Saturday night with a”ye ha sing-along”with  Bob Jackson. Best way to spend a "free" day at Disney

Author: Memory Maker Diva After a few days in the Parks, trying to pack in as many rides, shows, character meet and greets, and fireworks as you can, it is nice to have a free day to actually relax and enjoy the other options that Disney has to offer.  Here are some of the things that my family likes to do on our “Day Off”: Swimming The Disney Resorts have some of the best pools around.  Many have great water slides like the Pirate Ship at the Yacht Club, and all of them have amazing themes that really make you feel like you are right in the middle of the story, and some even have beaches!  Parents and teens can relax and catch some rays, and the kids can run around and splash all day long at their own speed.  No lines, just lots of play!  The Disney Water Parks, Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach, are also great options, but these do require a separate admission ticket, and I...

Online Check-In for Walt Disney World Resorts

Author: Disney Diva On our February 2012 trip to Walt Disney World we stayed at Port Orleans- French Quarter and had the chance to use the Online Check in! There are a few things you need to make sure you have with you when you sit down to complete your On-Line Check in. The first is your Confirmation Number. You can find this either in an email your Disney Travel Agent has sent to you or, if you made the reservation yourself, you will find it in your Disney Confirmation email. You will also need the name of of Primary Guest on the reservation, the resort name, and your check in date. Online check-in is available about 10 days before your check in dates. If there’s not a link in an email from your Disney Travel agent (see photo) You’ll need to go to and then click on the “My Disney Vacation” icon (looks like a suitcase) in the top left corner.
