Cedar Fair Parks offering Free and Discounted Military Admission during 2017!
Cedar Fair Park, one of the most successful amusement park corporations, boasts over 13 parks throughout the US and Canada. They are known for incorporating top-notch thrill rides such as the Dragster with award-winning family areas. They have a park known as “the roller coaster capital of the world” while another has “the largest collection of wooden tracks” between it’s four wooden coasters.
And most importantly, Cedar Fair parks are known for supporting our Military!

As mentioned before, Cedar Fair parks truly have something for everyone. Many of their parks have grand gatherings of carnival style family rides, thrill rides and daring coasters. Throw in entertainment, water rides and water parks and it is clear to see the value that these parks offer. And fortunately for those in the military, Cedar Fair Parks regularly offer military discounts!

Who is Eligible and What is the Discount?
Well this is where things get tricky! Our family has continually used tickets for our local park. So we are very familiar with their Military Discount. But through my research I have learned that each Cedar Fair Park offers a different discount. While I have done my best to gather current information from each park, it is best to call/email your local park directly prior to visiting. (Phone numbers listed above!)
Types of Discounts
Military Appreciation Days-Several of the arks offer Military Appreciation Days. These are usually centered around Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends. Military member is offered free admission while discounted tickets are available for up to six family members.
Ticket Discount-Military members and/or spouses may purchase tickets at a discount, These are available any day of the regular season.
Plenty of rides for the thrill seeker in your family!
Individual Cedar Fair Parks Military Discount Information
- California’s Great America-Military Appreciation Days during Memorial Day and Fourth of July weekends. Current and former members of the military receive free admission. Up to six additional tickets can be purchased for $22.99.
- Canada’s Wonderland-Military Appreciation days for Canadian armed forces and veteran’s from June 30-July 3, 2017. Eligible members receive complimentary admission; up to six discounted tickets may be purchased at the gate or online.
- Carowinds-Military Appreciation days offered from July 3-5, 2017. Active, reserve/national guard and retired military receive complimentary admission.
- Cedar Point-Military Appreciation Days during Memorial Day and Fourth of July; Active, Retired and Veterans of the military receive free admission. Up to six military discounted tickets at $43.00 any day of the operating season. Parking $15 if purchased online.
- Cedar Point Shores-Up to six military discounted tickets at $29.99/ adult, $25.00/child. Parking $15.00 when purchased online.
- Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom-Military Appreciation Days during Memorial Day and Fourth of July; Active, Retired, Veterans and ROTC members of the military receive free admission. Up to six military discounted tickets can be purchased for $28.00 during these Holidays. Discounted tickets (6) for all other operating days available for $34.00.
- Kings Dominion-Military Appreciation Days during Memorial Day and Fourth of July; Active, Retired, and Veterans of the military receive free admission. Up to six military discounted tickets can be purchased at the gate.
- Kings Island-Military Appreciation Days during Memorial Day and Fourth of July; Active, Retired, Veterans and ROTC members of the military receive free admission. Up to six military discounted tickets can be purchased for $32.00 on any regular operating day.
- Knott’s Berry Farm-Discounted military tickets can be purchased for $48 at the gate, $43 online (verification via www.idme.com required); military member must be present, spouse and dependents cannot purchase discounted tickets.
- Knott’s Soak City-Discounted military tickets may be purchased for $35 online; military member must be present.
- Michigan’s Adventure-Military Appreciation Days during Memorial Day and Fourth of July; Active, Retired, and Veterans of the military receive free admission. Up to six military discounted tickets can be purchased at the gate for $26.00.
- Valley Fair-Military Appreciation Days for Memorial Day and Fourth of July; Any member of the military, active or veteran, will receive free admission. Up to six discounted tickets may be purchased for $35
- World’s of Fun, Ocean’s of Fun-Military Appreciation Days for Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day; Any member of the military, active or veteran, will receive free admission. Up to six discounted tickets may be purchased for $36. In addition, from August 7-11, 2017, both military and Public Safety Employees can enjoy the same discounts.
