When planning a trip to Disney, meals and dining is definitely one of the big things to plan. So many of us who consider ourselves to be master Disney planners have been thrown for a loop the last year when it comes to planning our trips. New guidelines and ever changing requirements have made it hard to know what is available right now. Disney World is currently offering several options for modified Character meals. And there are more options to choose from than people may realize!
There are several options for Character meals and I have compiled them here to help you decide which is the best fit for your family. Things are ever changing in Walt Disney World right now, so this list is 100% subject to change at any moment! Also keep in mind that how guests previously experienced characters at these meals has drastically changed. Characters no longer pose for individual pictures and they do more walkthrough visits and do keep their distance.
Inside the Parks: For any of the Restaurant locations in this section, you must have a ticket and entry to the specified theme park. You cannot book a reservation for these without having a reservation and ticket for the park that day.
EPCOT:
- The Garden Grill: Visit with Mickey, Chip and Dale, and Goofy while you are surrounded by greenery and views of the Living with the Land attraction. This location is currently only offering the Character Experience for lunch and dinner. See the full menu here. Many restaurants are using QR code’s for their menu in place of paper.
HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS
- Hollywood & Vine: This location features a variety of Disney Junior friends for breakfast, and then Minnie and friends for lunch and dinner. You will find Fancy Nancy, Doc McStuffins, Vampirina and Roadster Racer Goofy for this breakfast. Keep in mind that this option does vary greatly from breakfast to lunch and dinner so be sure you are careful when you book if you’re looking for Disney Junior. At lunch and dinner the characters that you will see are Minnie, Mickey, Donald, Daisy and Goofy! Click here to see the current menu.
ANIMAL KINGDOM
- Tusker House Restaurant: This character option is set to reopen on June 20, 2021 and will feature Donald, Mickey and Goofy in a modified character experience. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Harambe marketplace as you dine. Check out the menu to see the standard offers but also some African twists!
Outside the Parks: There are also options for character dining outside the 
parks as well! Disney tip: This list is where my family typically looks because we prefer to do our character meals on non-park days when we visit.
CONTEMPORARY RESORT: Chef Mickey’s: Dine with Mickey and the gang at this family favorite! Expect a visit from Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy at this restaurant, which is currently only offering breakfast and dinner. Check the menu here to see what they offer! Meeting Mickey at Topolino’s in April 2021
RIVIERA RESORT: Topolino’s Terrace: This is the newcomer to the character meal world, and I have to say Topolino’s came to impress! This meal features Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Daisy in their artist outfits. The menu has a wide variety and can be found here. This restaurant is in the 10th floor of the resort and features stunning views of the surrounding area which includes all of Disney’s Caribbean Beach resort.
FOUR SEASONS RESORT: Good Morning Breakfast at Ravello: While not technically a Disney resort, this restaurant is located inside the Four Seasons Resort. It features Goofy and his Pals on Saturdays only. During breakfast Goofy, Mickey and Minnie make their rounds to each table. Click here for more information from the Four Seasons website.
So as you can see, despite the current restrictions there are still many chances and options for you and your family to enjoy dining “with” your favorite characters while visiting Walt Disney World!
