Hello Readers-I hope you have had an enjoyable summer making memories with your favorite people.  The Disney Travel Company has been busy reopening guest-favorite experiences, gearing up for festivals, and expanding cruise itineraries.  Read on below for a complete list of Disney News & Updates for July 2022!

Walt Disney World

Disney News & Updates

  • Park Pass Reservations are still required at Walt Disney World theme parks. It is recommended that guests check the Park Pass Availability Calendar prior to purchasing tickets or booking a Resort Package. Once you have tickets, link to your “myDisneyexperience” account and make your Park Pass Reservations. Guests can adjust their schedule at any time, as long as there is availability.
  • Resort and Recreation Refurbishments
    • Magnolia Golf Course is getting a fresh upgrade!  Holes 14-17 are being redesigned, all 18 greens are being refreshed, and a new cart bridge is being built between holes 16 and 17. The refurbishment should be completed later this year.
    • The BoardWalk Bakery is being transformed into the all-new BoardWalk Deli. During the transition, guests can find their favorite bakery treats at Pizza Window, AbracadaBar, and Bellevue Lounge. Consider a visit to Disney’s Boardwalk for more dining, shopping, and entertainment during your stay!
    • 2024 travelers-the following pools will be closed for refurbishment from January to April. Guests will still have access to other quiet pools.

      • Fantasia Pool at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort
      • Fuentos del Morro Pool at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

  • Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is returning to Disney’s Magic Kingdom on August 25!  Stay posted for more details!!
  • Magic Band+ is finally here!! The new interactive band, launching on July 27, will offer all the capabilities of traditional Magic Bands-unlock resort door, act as ticket, offer access to scheduled Ligntning Lanes, and allow guests to charge food and merchandise to their resort room folie. But the new Magic Bands will also activate the Fab 50 Statues, light up, and interact with Harmonious at Epcot and Disney Enchantment at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. Guests will also be able to join Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters via the Disney Play App.

  • Covid-19 Updates-guest should visit the Disney Cruise “Know Before You Sail” site for the most up to date Covid protocols
    • At this time, all guests over age 4 must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, register for a Safe Passage account beginning 15 days prior to sailing, and upload Proof of Vaccine
    • For US Sailings, all guests must take a Covid test, at their own expense, prior to sailing. Guests may take test at their convenience within two days of sailing or take a test at the port.
  • Itinerary Updates
    • Disney Wonder is offering a one time 8-night Alaskan sailing departing, on September 11, 2023.
    • Disney Dream is making it’s first ever sailings from New York to Bermuda in the Fall of 2023.Sailings are available for 4, 5, and 6 nights with a special 4-night sailing to St. John (Canada).  Disney Dream will then set her sights for her new port, Ft. Lauderdale FL!
    • Disney Magic will set sail out of San Diego in mid-October 2023, heading to Mexico
    • Halloween on the High Seas sailings are available for Fall 2023; Very Merrytime Cruises are available from early November to December 2023. Bookings opened on July 28…

    • Beginning June 30, 2022 all Adventures by Disney Experiences previously requiring minimum age of 4 now require a minumum age of 5 years old (Land Adventures, Escape Adventures, River Voyages. Private Excursions Excluded from requirement)
    • Guests booked prior to June 30 will still be able to participate
