Imagine waking up, walking to your balcony and seeing animals roaming an African savannah.

That’s exactly what you can experience at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge!
There are two parts to Animal Kingdom Lodge – Jambo House and KidaniVillage. The Jambo House includes regular rooms (with a few villas), whereas KidaniVillage houses Disney Vacation Club villas. Both offer great views of the African savannahs!
Jambo House

This is the original portion to Animal Kingdom Lodge. When you first arrive, you feel as though you have been transported to Africa, complete with thatched roofs! The lobby is truly unbelievable – it’s worth a trip just to see it!

Rooms vary from a standard view, pool view and savannah view (344 square feet) to the Royal Asante Presidential Suite (2115 square feet). I HIGHLY recommend the savannah view rooms – they are worth the price! The rooms are themed wonderfully, feeling as though you truly have stepped into an African paradise.
The regular rooms (non-suites) have either a king bed, 2 queen beds, or a queen bed with bunk beds (a favorite among kids). There is also a table and 2 chairs, large bureau (with a built in flat screen TV), vanity area including 2 sinks (with a large mirror), and separate bathroom area. There is also a large closet (with iron, ironing board and safe). Also included is a refrigerator and coffee maker.

Concierge level rooms offer savannah views, as well as access to the Kilimanjaro Club which includes a continental breakfast, afternoon snacks, evening hors d’oeuvres and desserts! Also included are beverages – available 24 hours a day.
The suites come in various sizes from one to two bedrooms, with various sizes of bathrooms. They are extremely well themed and offer that extra bit of space and luxury for your family!
Kidani Village
This is a Disney Vacation Club property – however your family can stay here without being a DVC member! These rooms offer the same great African theme, along with views of the savannah.

The villas come in multiple sizes – the smallest being a studio (316 square feet). This villa sleeps 4 and offers either a standard view or savannah view. This is similar to the rooms at Jambo House, however there is a mini-kitchen that includes a separate sink, along with a microwave and toaster.
The one-bedroom villas are much larger (807 square feet) and can sleep 5. These villas offer a separate master bedroom with a king bed (and a desk and TV), along with a master bathroom that includes a whirlpool tub, large shower, single sink and separate commode. There is also another full bath in the entryway! Also included is a large living area that has a sleeper sofa, sleeper chair and TV. But the special part is a kitchen with a larger refrigerator, microwave, toaster, stove, dishwasher, coffee maker, dishes, pans and more! There is a small dining bar, along with a stacked washer and dryer.
The two-bedroom villas (1173 square feet) are a combination of the studio and one-bedroom villas. The second bedroom includes a queen bed and does offer a second entry. These villas sleep 9.
There are some Grand villas (2201 square feet) available for larger families of up to 12! There are three bedrooms and four bathrooms on two levels. The views are spectacular!
So if you are looking for a wonderfully themed resort to stay at with your family – Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge offers just that!
