If your child has an obsession with Disney/Pixar’s Cars series, particularly “Mater’s Tall Tales”, than you might be able to rev up their engines with an up close and personal experience of some real vehicles that will be sure to amaze your family and friends. Feld Entertainment’s Monster Jam event is touring its way around the country, and may be coming to a city near you!

How to Get Tickets and Save Money for Monster Jam!

One of the perks of attending a Monster Jam event is unlike some other shows or forms of entertainment, Monster Jam events are affordably priced for the whole family with seats starting at $15.00 on opening night. Disney Diva Tip: Looking to save even more money (and really, who doesn’t)? You can get a $5 off coupon at Bobby J’s Yamaha in Albuquerque.

For all of my New Mexico family and friends, they have a great show coming into town February 17-19th. Monster Jam will be performing at the Tingley Coliseum on: Friday, February 17, 2017 at 7:30pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00pm Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 19, 017 at 2:00pm Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or the Tingley Coliseum Box Office. Disney Diva Tip: Want to get an even closer look at these great vehicles and meet the drivers? Check out The Pit Party! The Pit Party on February 18 and February 19 from 11:30am-1:00pm gives fans the opportunity to meet the Monster Jam athletes and get up close to the Monster Jam trucks.

The AMSOIL series can only be seen in select cities across the country and features the most extreme athletes of Monster Jam. Albuquerque fans will witness a fierce battle for the championship with each competitor using customized high-powered vehicles: Monster Jam Speedsters, Monster Jam ATVs and the famous Monster Jam trucks. These premier athlet
es vying to be Albuquerque’s champion are:

Grave Digger driven by Cole Venard

Max-D driven by Jared Eichelberger

El Toro Loco driven by Mark List

Scooby-Doo, Mohawk Warrior Monster Mutt Dalmatian driven by Cynthia Gauthier Zombie driven by Tyler Groth

NEA driven by Travis Groth

*Trucks/drivers subject to change.

So what is so impressive about these vehicles? Monster Jam trucks can fly up to125 to 130 feet in distance and up to 35 feet in the air. Approximately 12 feet tall and about 12 feet wide, Monster Jam trucks are custom-designed machines that sit atop 66-inch-tall tires and weigh a minimum of 10,000 pounds. Built for short, high-powered bursts of speed, Monster Jam trucks generate 1,500 to 2,000 horsepower and are capable of speeds of up to 100 miles per hour. That is some serious pedal to the medal that I think would even have Lightening McQueen giving a nod of approval.
