Fashionistas across the nation are getting ready to #RockTheDots for Minnie Mouse on January 22, National Polka Dot Day. The style-icon will be honored coast to coast with events at both Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort and Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort. If you’re local, dress in your polka-dotted best and head to either one of these locations for celebrations that include special photo opportunities, entertainment, a commemorative button, discounts and giveaways.
At last year’s event, Minnie fans were invited to take photos with Minnie in her custom Christian Siriano dress and shop exclusive Minnie merchandise at the Dot Shop. Earlier this week, the 2017 Minnie Rocks the Dots VIP event took place on the rooftop deck of Andex Hotel in West Hollywood, California. At this event, Minnie Mouse arrived in an Olympia Le-Tan designer dress to announce the spring 2017 UNIQLO “Minnie Mouse Loves Dots” collaboration.
“Designing a dress for my favorite childhood icon was quite an exciting thing to do. I tried to stay true to what Minnie usually wears but adding my personal touch. The sequins make the dress rather festive, which is great as we are celebrating this new collaboration.” – Olympia Le-Tan
Heading into one of the Disney parks on Jan. 22? This is the perfect opportunity to DisneyBound as Minnie! DisneyBounding is when you wear an outfit inspired by a Disney character.
