Counting Down to Christmas the Disney WayIt’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Holidays are upon us and Christmas is fast approaching. One of my favorite memories is counting down the days to Christmas on our family Advent Calendar. It survived four moves, two kids and is going strong after 40 Christmases. Now that I have children, we have started our own Advent Calendar traditions. This year we added a new fun way to countdown the days. We’re doing it the Disney way!

Disney has several options for Advent Calendars this year. From books, to socks, to Tsum Tsums there are plenty of choices!

The Disney Storybook Collection Advent Calendar

I personally loved this option and this is what our family will use to countdown this year. This collection includes 24 paperback books of Disney classic stories and new favorites. The books are miniature-sized and the shortened version of the story can easily fit into the bedtime routine. Each of the stories comes with the quality illustrations you expect from a Disney storybook and the favorite characters you love. The calendar includes the following books listed in no particular order:

  • 101 Dalmatians
  • Aladdin
  • Bambi
  • Beauty and the Beast
  • Cars 3
  • Coco
  • Dumbo
  • Finding Nemo
  • Frozen
  • Lady and the Tramp
  • Moana
  • Monsters University
  • Mulan
  • Peter Pan
  • Pinocchio
  • Ralph Breaks the Internet
  • Tangled
  • The Incredibles
  • The Incredibles 2
  • The Jungle Book
  • The Lion King
  • The Little Mermaid
  • Toy Story
  • Toy Story 4

I loved this idea because this is a gift they can keep using after the Holidays, unlike the calendars that give you a daily piece of chocolate. They can read and enjoy the books for years to come. We purchased our books from Amazon.com as part of the pre-order option. These calendars have already sold out several times due to popularity.
